Choosing an all-terrain tire can quickly turn into a game of compromise, especially when the exact size you need for your vehicle simply isn’t available. With the latest rollout phase of the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3, BFGoodrich aims to fix that problem by adding 12 new sizes. On paper, a size expansion can look like a small update, but in practice it’s what turns an interesting new product into a genuinely viable option for more drivers.
This rollout phase is also framed as a way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Radial All-Terrain T/A, first launched on November 14, 1976. BFGoodrich often presents that model as one of the starting points for the modern all-terrain category: a tire designed to be confident on pavement while still able to take real off-road punishment. By 1977, the brand was already testing its radial all-terrain tires in Baja and claiming Class 8 wins at the SCORE Baja 500 and the Baja 1000.
Twelve New Sizes for 2026
The KO3 was introduced nearly two years ago, and its launch has been rolling out in waves, with a final major phase scheduled for May 2026. These 12 new sizes are notably varied. They include classic 15-inch formats for more traditional setups, multiple LT sizes in the 17- to 20-inch range that match newer platforms, and one very large-diameter option aimed at vehicles running big wheels.
BFGoodrich KO3 vs. KO2: What’s Different?
BFGoodrich is also making clear performance claims compared with the KO2: 15% better wear performance and 20% increased durability on gravel roads. The company highlights improved snow traction as well, while maintaining the sidewall toughness and loose-surface grip associated with the KO line. Add to that an 80,000 km warranty, and the message is that BFGoodrich is confident the product is built to last.
As these new KO3 sizes reach the market, the corresponding KO2 sizes will be phased out gradually. The anniversary may be the backdrop, but the takeaway is straightforward: BFGoodrich is widening access to the KO3 and positioning it as the next step forward for a versatile, durable all-terrain tire, whether your route is pavement, gravel, snow, or anything in between.
